    Hi guys and gals,

I'm using an iDo tin windows mobile 2005 phone on o2 billpay.
tried the o2 site for settings and cannot find them most of the stuff they have there seems to be aimed at pocket pc 2002, tried expansys too, no joy. Had a look at the stickied thread here and can't find any settings that work on the iDo.
    Any input would be appreciated.
    *editf*
Got them elsewhere on the web :)

    Go to:

    Start
    Select Settings
    Select Connections Tab
    Select Connections Icon

    Under "My ISP"
Select Manage existing connections or, setup new modem connection

    Give the connection a name
Under modem select "Cellular line GPRS"
    Go Next
APN is either, internet or open.internet
    Username is GPRS
    Password is GPRS
    Tap finish.

You do not need to put in DNS as these are automatic to the APN (Dynamic DNS and IP)

Cheers ifc1892, as I edited in my post it got it set up after searching the www. As a matter of interest, it works with the dns too.
Do you know the mms settings by any chance?

    Yup,

    Go to Start
    Messages
    Select Menu,
    Select MMS Configuration
    Select Servers
Tap on the existing server and input the following

    Server Name. change to O2IE
    Gateway 192.168.90.71
    Port Number is 9201
    Server address is http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002
Sending Size, leave as it is
    WAP Version 1.2

Now, to be sure this will work you need to setup the WAP 1.2 connection.

    Select Start, Settings, Connections, Connections
    Under "My Work Network"
    Select Manage existing connections.
Tap on the new connection and give it a name O2 WAP GPRS
Select modem is "Cellular line GPRS"
    APN is wap.dol.ie
    Username is GPRS
    Password is GPRS

    O2 Email Settings:

From the main menu go to Inbox, click on Menu - Tools and select New Account.

Enter the configuration settings as follows:

Enter Email address: your email address (e.g. joebloggs@o2.ie)*

Auto configuration will then attempt to run, wait until that has finished and click next

Your Name: name as you wish it to be displayed
    Username: will already be entered
Password: your o2.ie password (click save password if you wish)*
    Click Next:
    Service type: POP3
    Name: o2 mail
    Click Next
    Incoming mail: pop3.o2.ie*
    Outgoing mail: smtp.o2.ie
    Domain: Leave blank
    Click Options button:
Connect and check for messages every 15 mins: user preference

Connection: The internet (if internet settings have not been gone through please see XDA 2 Internet Settings: GPRS / GPRS / GSM)
Outgoing e-mail server requires authentication: should not be ticked
Require SSL connection: should not be ticked
Only display messages for the last 3 days: user preference

Click Next, again this screen is user preference. Click Finish.

To start collecting mail, click the send/receive icon on the bottom of the Inbox (looks like two envelopes)

*these settings will need to be changed accordingly if the customer is using a non-o2.ie address.

I have the same connection settings etc but keep getting the following error message:

It could be a number of things:
Incorrect APN / Account Not Provisioned
Flight Mode may be on (though im sure you would have noticed that)
    or
You may have the incorrect Profile selected.

If you get stuck call o2 Data support 1850 60 1740
