I'm having problems with my former landlord not paying me back my deposit (1300euro)

i'm going to the PRTB to get them to help
but the landlord never registered the property

will he be fined like it says in the law / 2004 act ?

If they are not registered, it is possible that they are not declaring their rental income to the Revenue Commissioners. Along with the fines/penalties associated with non-registration of the rental property, there may be other penalties.

I would advise contacting the landlord and advising him that you are seeking the remediation services of the PTRB. Perhaps he/she may decide to save you the trouble and cough up?

thats what i intend to do

my point is that bringing in the PRTB isn't going to scare them.
they are cowboys. i don't think the PRTB is anthing they will be worried about.
