thanks for helping me with the last problem, hopefully someone can give me some advice on this problem.

I have two ntl digtial set top boxs and a duel tuner from Hauppage. Whenever I try to record two programs it just records the one program twice. Likewise If I try and record one program while watching another it turns out that it has recorded the program I was watching.

I have rerun the setup a number of times hoping to clear up the problem and from that it's clear that both settop boxs are working and sending a signal to the pc and that the pc is reciving two different signals.

Anyone any ideas of what the problem is or anything i could to that would help narrow down what the problem is?

    thanks

If your running MCE there is a guide here that outlines the process for setting up dual tuners for set top boxes.

Never tried it myself so cannot off any advice if running through the steps in the guide above fails you might want to try the The Green Buttons forums.

are the ntl boxes near each other?
is there a chance that the ir blaster is changing channel on both of them?

Which tuner have you got? The PVR-500-MCE is a dual tuner, but only takes a single analog input, which is split across the two tuners. So if you're connecting them via co-ax and S-video, only one input is being used (twice). Long shot, but you never know!

have sorted it out, it was the case as someone pointed out here of the light from one IR blaster switching over both boxs as they where beside each other
