There's a good number of us going to Kerry to play in Connie's tournie. I'm not able to travel on Friday (unless someone is going to drive down about 9pm) so I'm travelling on the Saturday morning at 11am.

I thought a thread to organise lifts, train times and hotels etc might be helpful... so this is it.

Dunno should this go in the Events forum or here... (its kind of an edge case. :)) but I thought I remembered such threads here.

Anyway mods feel free to move it.

    DeV.

I know Dev - thought that myself. But what will be the last train home on a Sunday? If you are still in the tourney Sunday evening you may miss the last train. Say you finish 8th place for money back, and miss the last train - you might feel like hurting someone.

    hi LLoyd,
Last train to dublin on Sunday is at 7.00pm out of Killarney. The tournament will be well over by then, I can guarantee you that.(I'm well in with the TD )

    Bollox to that! :)
I actually like trains and am happy to get one.... god knows I took enough cash off Mr Masters and co on the way down the last time :p

it just occurs to me that on Friday there will be people leaving who might be glad of the company and people who might be glad to save the train fair. Seems a perfect use for boards :p

Besides, car are filthy and stressful... I dont know why anyone has one.

Your organizing skills are getting better anyway (must be mikes influence),as there was a time when you would post on the day looking for a lift.

i'm going to Prague and Budapest next week so I thought I'd get a head start. Anyway, I reckon most people will go down on Friday so I'm not really looking for a lift for myself but just to kick off a thread to prompt others to post looking and offering... Or even just to organise which train etc :)

Mike's influence on me?! Dont even start me :p:D

Lloyd, you could fly back up on the commuter flight monday morning, I'm not sure of the exact times but it would leave time to get into work with no-one any the wiser about your weekend of degeneracy. farranfore airport is not far from killarney and prices are usually reasonable. (40 min flight too, pisses all over the train) Check Aer arann's website for details.

Yep, the 1st plane up is at 6.30am in the morning. For those of you needing to know about last train on Sunday, as I told Lloyd earlier, the ME will defo be over in plenty time to catch this train back.

    cheers, Connie

If I'm late enough to have gone on past Connie's assurances then I think I'd have enough to buy a plane ticket :)
