cheap ferry crossing to france

me and my mate want to take the car to france mid june for a month in france but are struggling to get a ferrt crossing sorted and the best option seems to be england then france, any1 who done this b4 got any recommendations

we went last year via the Uk too and got a cheap ferry crossing from DOver to Dunkerque about 50 euro each way I think - there is a lot of competition in the Uk between ferry companies - oppostie to Ireland!!!!:rolleyes:
