    Hi lads,
I'm looking at buying an All-in-one printer copier scanner for my laptop. But I dont have a clue which one to go for. It'll mostly be used for scanning and printing photos as opposed to text documents and I have about 100-150 euros to spend on it.

Any advice on what to get would be great,
    thanks :)

My brother in law bought a HP C4180 recently & it is an excellent machine, the current retail price is €120however he managed to pick one up in Dixons when they had a "3-day special" promotional price of €100... missed out on that deal myself!

This has a built in screen, card reader & photo editor... very handy if u want to print a quick photo!

There is another, the next model up... the C5180 & this runs a little over your budget at around €189 but it looks like it is the all singing, all dacing model & I have my eye on one of those. ;)

If of course you just want something simple you can pick up the F380 or the C3180, both are around the €80 mark or under.

I may be biased towards HP printers but I have been using them for 13 years & swear by them!

    Cheers...

    Thanks dl,
I had been looking at the C4180 but had read somewhere that switching from text printing to photo printing was abit tedious and involved swappng out print cartridges and stuff. Has your brother in law had any trouble with this or is it easy enough?

Apart from that downside it really does look like a good option and its a nice price too :)

There is an option of inserting a photo quality cartridge for best results but for average use the standard cartridge would do... anyhow to swap a cartdrige takes about 30 seconds but the printer(s) do realign themselves whenever a cartridge is inserted so that might be the delay/hassle you read about.

Not an issue really if you are going to print a couple of photos but may be a hassle if you are setting it up just for one... then again it depends on what time you have on your hands ;)

The HP 2575 is on offer in PC World at the moment for €99.99. Same as the 4180 really, but slightly nicer looking and has an ethernet port. (this was last weekend though, may be gone up now)
