NTL digital to tv tuner for Media Center

So my new HTPC is all built, windows is installed, everything is great - except now I face stteing up my ntl digital box to medai center and I've no idea where to start. I have this tv card installed:
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=323375
I've googled 'ntl set up to media center' and havn't got anything which really explains it.
As far as I can see I've to connect the scart out on my pace (ntl digital) box to the tv card? What cable do i use for this?
Does the analogue tv cable out from the ntl pace box go into the tuner on the tv card...this seems obvious but I'm just a bit unsure.

If there is a diagram picture guide on the net that someone knows that'd be great.

Lastly what is the story with the remote control thing? I have the microsoft media center control, someone was saying that you 'program' it to take the commands from my ntl remote? How is this done?

    Thanks for any help

    steve

I wrote a rough guide a while back for this topic.

In summary get a scart adapter get composite video cables and connect them to the tuner. If you want to use s-video you need a special scart RGB to s-video converter.

The coax output from the NTL box I'm not sure about I don't think anyone has ever got that working and my attempts with Chrous Digital's coax output on their set top box came to nothing as well.

With the Microsoft remote it comes with an IR blaster which allows it to send commands to the set top box which you will need so it can change the channel and the set top box can be controlled from the MCE remote. You cannot complete the cable/set top box TV wizard without it present.

    8t8 thanks again

i got hold of a cable in maplins that was composite to scart but it was switchable so i could sen the signal from scart to the composite end
have the tv set up and it looks great... now that damn epg....

the EPG should not cause any headaches. Just make sure you have all updates installed, and be sure to look under optional updates. Rollup2, although dated November 05 is an optional update but critical for Irish EPG support and may not be installed.

Steve, I need one of these cables as well. Was it in the Maplins in Jervis St where you got yours? Would you be able to tell me the make and part num of the cable?
    Thanks

it didnt work for me after my last reinstall,
figures out it was because of the language.
are you sure you have internet explorer languge on english-ie, or just windows?
    ie > tools > internet options > general > appearance > languages

if ie is set in there you get "tips and tricks" instead of the online spotlight,
switch the country in there to see online spotlights from around the world
