So it seems, my PS3 no longer thinks the original Wipeout is just an audio disc.

I updated my system software to ver. 1.70 and now one of my PS2 games that was originally working says now it's incompatible! Anyone got an email address for some in Sony I can email?

Anyone notice that any of their PS2 titles that worked with update 1.6 are not now working with update 1.7? I mean are they getting the standard incompatible error message? This has happened with Star Wars : Battlefront 2.

    Everyone loves a comedian!! HA!:p

Just wondering are anyone elses games experiencing this - it's a strange one in that it worked fine with the 1.6 update and now it doesn't recognise the game!

If you sign in on your PS3 the first thing it should tell you is that there is an update available. It is on the .ie site also.

Crap! Me don't have net connection to get the updates. Actually, while I'm here, can i register my PS3 online and get the free copy of Casino Royale.

Nothing but good came out of the update for me on terms of backward compatibility.Ratchet and Clank 2 now works, as does Final Fantasy VII Dirge Of Cerberus, works perfectly when it didn't work at all before.
Also all the glitches in GTA San Andreas have been completely sorted, and the FMV's in FF XII are working perfectly now.The only two games I have now that don't work is Dynasty Warriors 5 and MGS2.

Now all we need in the next update is an option to change the colour scheme of the Cross media bar.I was thinking on having a neon blue(Or just blue) wave and the background just plain black.

You could go to the internet cafe and try it there?

How are people finding this new update, are you happy with it?
