I haven't read either but I've seen people on this board recommending Understanding Exposure several times.

Hehe, I did have to look twice first time I saw the nick ;)

    mmalaka, look at the name!!!

There's a thread not far away called 'Now What' and it gets into the discussion on books, and that understanding exposure one seems to be a hands down favourite. I'm also teetering on the brink of ordering that other one, 'learning to see creatively' - but that's a different kettle of fish I suppose.

is such a thing possible to teach creativity , you have it or you don't in my book -- i'm just wary of this kind of thing, reminds me of art class at school, whoever can sketch and reproduce a nice house , is the best artist ... i think theres more to art than structured training !

Nah it's not like that. More just about trying excercises, opening up to new perspectives, thinking about how to approach things in different ways. I'd like to think I can already see creatively but it's just about a bit of inspiration.

I found 'learning to see creatively' to be a great book... It certainly taught me how to see more creatively anyway. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
