    Hi,

I'm looking to go somewhere different for the May B.H weekend. Was looking at Tampere, Finland. Anyone ever been here before? Recommend it?

Also, how expensive does accommodation tend to be?

    Thanks!

I was there nearly ten years ago at this stage - it was fairly expensive there all right but I assume at this stage like everywhere else in the world its slightly cheaper there than here. Its a very very wooded place with trees all round the city so its great place to go for walks and hikes etc. From what I remember the main attractions were the main cathedral, the lenin museum ( which I thought was very interesting), the orthodox church and the outdoor walks in the forests. When we were there in Summer it was a bit colder than in Ireland. I cant remember how much our accomadation cost unfortunately.

Like most places in Finland its not flashy but quiet and reserved.
