 Mods feel free to move if posted in the wrong forum....

    Hi all,
I've a dell Dimension 4600 thats about 2 years old (maybe a little more). It's fairly customised ( New RAM, new graphics card, new soundcard, new dvd burner etc.) I've noticed of late that my fan is making alot of noise. I've cleaned the inside - removed any dust from the heatsink, cleaned the fan and left the side panel off, but the noise is mad.
Is it possible to control the fan speed? turn it down a notch? Any temp reading I've seen say that my CPU is running at about 41 DEG C. Is this hot?
I'll also consider buying a new fan. The one i have now could be on it's last legs. Can anybody recommend one? Do I need to buy a new heatsink aswell?

    thabks in advance
