Couldn't understand a tap of what was said in the original post so i googled "Blade Boone" and got this Wikipedia entry:
Minor characters in Blade: The Series

This page contains a list of minor characters and their roles on the American television show Blade: The Series.

    .....

    Brian Boone

Detective Boone was a familiar to Marcus Van Sciver. He used his influence as a police officer to help the vampires cover up their crimes, and also secure fresh humans for feeding. Boone was double crossed by Marcus, who fed him to Krista Starr. Boone woke up in a testing facility for the Aurora Project and escaped, going on a cross country killing spree that ended when a group from Chthon cornered him at a meeting with the House of Armaya. Chase thought she killed Boone through a door, in fact he was hiding behind another vampire who was killed. Boone escaped and has not been seen since.
Is it..... d'ya think....... no....... might be.... well actually.... could it possibly be.... that you heard the surname of the Detective Boone?

Quick tip: pay attention to TV shows before making non-sensical links! ;):D Just a tip!

No wait, cause I saw this one thing, this one time, and in it, like, this guy said, like "better lock that up" and then I thought, like, wait a minute, that guy said 'lock' and there's a guy on this other show called, like, locke, and then I thought that must be a clue. And I think it was Party of Five or something, but I'm not sure.

And also this one time I fell over cause I forgot how to walk

There's only one way to respond to that....

i have noticed that basquille and jeff lebwski are two limited people who believe that only their comments on lost matter and ridicule others for just pointing out stuff.
i heard something about a indian sweat box that somebody went into so they could see boone in a vision.
and all i said was that it was weird.
now where did i say it had connection or blade had something to do with the bigger picture in lost.
the two of you are pathetic.

    Personal abuse? On boards.ie?

Relax buddy - we're just taking the piss.

Also I don't see where I have ever stated that only my comments matter at all.

i probably should not have personally abused you but what is the difference between mockery and personal abuse?

Mod, please close this topic. It serves no purpose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,295 ✭✭✭✭Basq

darrenh banned for personal abuse, being a plonker and failing to take a joke with a pinch of salt...

.. but come on, how pointless was that original post?!

Are you joking? I'm sorry but mods have banned inappropiately more than I've had hot dinners and it's just a bit harsh. Yes yes, "don't tell them how to do their job" and I'm not trying to 'fight d powah' but he just took a joke too personally and thats not his fault. People have different levels of sensitivity and you guys (a mod no less that is supposed to be setting an example!) were the ones who started slagging him first. (And don't come back with the whole "quote where I slagged him" thing because we all see what you meant in your posts).

I can't believe I actually wrote that because I don't take things like these seriously. I can't write the above in every other thread like this so I just had to let it out. Sorry!

Let by gones be by gones IMO. Silly topic. You guys teased him. He got offended. Guess who gets banned?

I completely agree with the sentiments expressed by Killaqueen. The clique attacks someone. That someone rebels and they throw the toys out of the pram by banning him. Sheesh!

I'm not part of a clique. I hardly know anyone off boards in real life. I was messing about and yer man took it a bit seriously - I have no part in his banning and made no request for him to be banned. This is all a bit ridiculous frankly.

Killaqueen!!!, anotherlostie, Jeff_Lebowski banned for not agreeing it with me. Along with my parents, my first dog Spot and my history teacher in second class for that D i got one time!

    ... har-de-har-har!

Grand so.. banned lifted on darrenh. Was a bit harsh i suppose. But just to remind him that personal abuse IS indeed a bannable offence. No matter how serious or not he was.

Why post it in the Lost forum then?
I have to say, I disagree with the ban being lifted.
Theres something wrong if someone can't handle a bit of a laugh without resorting to personal abuse.
    [/rant]

(ps- I liked the party of five-lock joke!)

I agree with Damo. If you're going to post something stupid then you can only expect stupid replies. If you can't handle that then read what you've written before you post. A weeks ban would suit a personal insult with praise and admiration for those who take the piss.

That first post makes no sense at all, except for
    weird!!!
    Indeed it is.

While I agree that it was fairly non-sensical and he should have expected stupid replies (I know I would've chipped in something just as counter-stupid) I think this topic has served its purpouse.

I'm not sure what darrenh said before he edited his posts and I see basquille has lifted the ban (which I think may have been a little harsh... sorry bud) so before this gets into an "us vs. them" rant I'll close this.

    Peace out folks
