Hey guys, I'm kinda in a bit of a situation and need something finished by tonight, but ran into trouble...! Is there a way to paste text into photoshop, instead of having to type it in yourself?

I posted this in the digital darkroom section but there doesn't seem to be much activity there, sorry if it shouldn't be in this section, I'm just desperate!

You can, at least with Photoshop 6 anyway. Copy your text and then click the Text button to create a text layer wherever you want and then Edit->Paste.

Not sure if this will help but you can do it in Gimp (free ) easily - just cut and paste into the text box. Might be enough to get you out of a fix if no PS heads around.

I think you can, works for me anyway when I select text in notepad/internet explorer etc and copy it, then goto photoshop and use the text tool and just paste

maybe try creating a text box by dragging a square with the text tool and then pasting

what version of photoshop do you have?
