There are no free collections left. Your local FRS office offers a recycling service, but they do have a charge. www.frsnetwork.ie

Also, there is a specific recycling company who get the levy from the wrap and covers that you buy. They're called IFFPG. They have a charge as well as collecting a levy from you when you buy it. You end up paying more for it in comparison to FRS and you must produce your receipts to IFFPG to prove that you paid the levy on it.

In the past I always bought the wrap with the levy on it, but it went for 5 years that IFFPG did not collect even though I registered my need several times each year. I ended up having over 4000 wraps sitting in a pile. Thankfully FRS took them away for free for me. Now I buy my wrap in Northern ireland with no levy and €20 per roll cheaper than in the south. I pay FRS €70 per year to collect it. This way I am fully compliant with my recycling responsibilities for REPS and I save some money.

I used the IFFPG service this year and cleared out about 5 years worth of plastic.
First, fill out the form here:
    http://www.farmplastics.ie/farmplastics2~33~33.htm
Pay them €50. A guy with a truck and a HIAB will call out to your yard and collect the plastic. You will pay no more than the €50 provided you have half a tonne or less. I had to ring IFFPG in Dublin to get the phone number for my local guy to arrange collection. If I hadn't done this, I'd still have a big heap of plastic sitting there. All in all, I was happy with the service. As for net wraps, I just carried them to the local landfill.
