    Saw on old post here:

    http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/76028.aspx

After you try the reg hack a movie guide option appears in the tv section but no movie artwork appears. Just wondering does anyone know how to get the artwork to show?

    edit:

If you go into the cast and info section, and pick an actor it basically lists every film that person is in and shows artwork for each accept the movie thats actually on! Coming to America with eddie murphy is on tv soon and it shows no artwork for this even though its bigger than a lot of his other films

Not tried it out but it uses the same metadata service as the My DVD's feature does for displaying movies by querying AMG an American movie metadata service.

For the My DVD's service the codes that ID the movies do not match up as they are IE/UK codes and the service only worked with North American codes as such you had to install a utility which could remap the codes. Occasionally a code would match to a DVD but it was quite rare.

This might explain the problem, I can look no further as the MCE AU site is down at time of writing but the last post in that thread points to a working in the UK comment.

thanks for the info, that dvd-id thing makes sense, yet another example it seems of how they dont care about anybody outside the US.

btw you can apply for beta test of the next version of vista mce here if you havent read about it already:
    http://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=23

the actual survey asks what satellite's can you receive, so gives some home they might have dvb-s in next version.

The EU MCE team is actually based here in Ireland and is a recent outfit that was setup to redress the balance between features in the North American release of MCE and the EU.

DVB-S support is one of those items and they said in the podcast interview that is supposed to be on it's way for the next update to Vista MCE.

Hopefully they will work on other features too that are left out like the movie browser.
