My laptop boots into windows setup mode if I'm not quick enough to select windows xp in the start up screen. Anyone know how I can rid myself of the startup screen so it boots normally without me having to select it?

If you boot into normal Windows and right click on My Computer and go to Properties.
In the Advanced tab, there is a button called Startup and Recovery, here you can select the default option.
