General Election Debate in Trinity tonight

    The College Historical Society are hosting a debate on the 2007 General Election on the motion:
    "This House Would Re-Elect the Government"

    The Guests include:

    * Michael McDowell, TD, Tanaiste, leader of the Progressive Democrats and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform
    * Brian Lenihan, TD, Fianna Fail Representative, Minister of State at the Department of Health & Children
    * Trevor Sargent, TD, leader of the Green Party
    * Mary Lou McDonald, Sinn Fein MEP
    * Brendan Durkan, TD, Fine Gael Representative & Spokesman for Communications & Natural Resources
    * Eamon Gilmore, TD, Labour Representative & Spokesman for Environment, Heritage & Local Government

    Brian Dobson will be in the chair.

    Members of the society will get priority of admission, but membership will be available at the door.

    It's being hosted in the Graduates' Memorial Building at 7.30pm tonight, on Wednesday 18th April 2007.

    The recordings of the debate will be placed on-line at the Hist website, www.thehist.com.
