I know two guys who also regularly wear PJs. I think it's cute. I like it....depending on the PJs of course ;)

Pyjamas on men are a complete turn off! Wear boxers!! And if you're cold a t-shirt.

Would you think a girl in old lady style night dress would be a turn on? No? Same thing. PJs are for men in hospitals or nursing homes. And THATS IT! The nicest thing about sleeping in a guy's bed is his bare chest to lay your head on.

Seriously like! Pyjamas?? The worst are those old paisley ones like kinda Indian swirling, tear drop pattern in brown/sage/maroon/mustard colours. *shudder*

For your sake and all of us, just back away from the flanel PJs. I beg of you!

    pyjamas ftw i reckon
the only man that i know who wears pyjamas is my 61 year old dad (he opts for the long sleeve t-shirt and jog pant type affairs), but to be fair it's not something that i ask my male friends so there could be others
personally i'm a big fan of jammies - i'm wearing mine now ;)

I just wear the bottoms... They're blue and white stripy ones... just like the ones Bender wears in Futurama.

QFT! Lil Kitten is completely right - there is no need for any man under 60 to wear pyjamas. Have to say, I do like monkeyfudge's suggestion of just wearing the bottoms - that always looks good

The bf is 22 and wears them, I think it's cute...

My best friend is 28 and he wears them. i think they are cute... compared to the usual boxers and tshirt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,626 ✭✭✭Stargal

I just don't see how they can be considered cute. I can think of few things that are less sexy than undressing someone who is wearing pyjamas. Total turn-off.

no pjs for me.. tracksuit bottoms and no boxers if called to the door etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,909 ✭✭✭europerson

I think it depends on the type. If they're the kind with trousers and a button-up top, then by no means are they acceptable. The kind that are trousers and a T-shirt are a little more bearable. In colder weather, I'd just wear pyjama bottoms, but not at this time of the year, when it's warmer.

A t-shirt wont keep your legs warm in the winter.

You are assuming that all PJs are old paisley style, the fact is they are not.I just wear the bottoms myself in the winter or around the house in the morning and they are def not old fashioned type you describe.

My bf wears a pair of bottoms that I find extremely sexy, just plain grey with an elasticated waist, like that off decent boxers, very sexy, and looks good bare chested, or with a tightish t-shirt if cold! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

So the general consensus seems to be that Aquafresh style pyjamas are unsexy...

Only the top, the bottoms on their own are quite sexy!

This is the first link I found,
    http://www.guardianoffers.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/Guardian/TIMWBE260/64187
    - that's the button up kind my bf wears. Nicer material than that though.
I still don't see anything wrong with it.

Found this on the net after someone sent me the link. the seven reasons why a guy should wear pyjamas.

Pyjamas are de-rigeuer for dole-sponging teenage girls around dublin to demonstrate to all and sundry their unemployed status. Preferably at 2 in the afternoon while walking to Spar to buy 10 blue and some scratchcards.

Can anyone reccomend where to get nice jacket and pants type pyjamas that wont appear too old fashioned.

Sounds like you're looking for some very formal pyjamas!

Tbh I think any pyjamas that you buy in a set are always going to look very old-fashioned. Why not just get a nice pair of bottoms and wear them? Or boxers, possibly with a t-shirt? It's way too warm to sleep in pyjamas now anyway.

I love my mister in Pajamas! :D
He looks SOOOO cute! I even buy him sets and hope he wears them.

I really can't remember wearing PJs, yet I know I must have at some stage. Nowadays it's boxers or shorts and maybe a t-shirt if it's cold. Old rugby top if it's horribly chilly, though on those nights I just like to make a lil fort of duvets and pretend I'm an eskimo. :)

Have you got a pyjama fetish? This seems like a pretty big deal for you. Maybe there's a pj group online?

Can't stand wearing anything too constrictive when I'm trying to sleep... boxers & tshirt would be the most I'd wear... pyjamas, pff, I don't see the point tbh... it doesn't take very long to throw on a pair of jeans if I need to get up and do something beyond taking a wizz.

I prefer my man to sleep with me naked, but when he is in hospital or we have to sleep in our parent's house PJ's are very cute on him.

But I don't want cute, I want manly and sexy, and pyjamas just don't cut it!

According to the Poll there are a good few guys that wear pyjamas bottoms. 9% of us wear full sets. Majority guys wear just boxers. and 18% naked in bed. I am sure there are more guys theat wear full sets out there love to here from you.

Hate pjs; will wear boxers if away from home, but pretty pointless really, given that as soon as I fall asleep I automatically discard them anyway ... luckily, I usually remember to scrabble around the bottom of the bed and retrieve them the next morning, otherwise someone is left with an unwanted present when they go to do the laundry ...

Oops, sorry, didn't realise I was bumping an ancient thread, got linked to it from somewere else!)

I dont like PJ's either. It feels like your wearing your clothes in bed. I just wear boxers.
