fold and live to fight another hand. he might be beating you already, or has Ak AQ . Fold and play on you still have some chips.

    Don't re-raise preflop, fold now.

wouldnt be going to war with this type of hand so early on.

leave the races until your in the money or very shortstacked.

    standard fold

I figured he might have AK-AJ or Medium PP and taught the RR would stink of AA-KK to him and even if i didnt win it preflop i could take it down with a continuation bet post flop with the right board texture. Guess im getting too tricky OOP as you said when there was no need to and in sng's you cant really afford to be early on.

When he RR me all in, i compared our stacks and seen that he was under no particular pressure like myself to win chips as we both had big stacks so i put him on either AA-QQ or AK and was so close to folding and at the last second of the timer like an idiot i called.

If my opponent had AK-AJ or Medium Pair would 3 betting not be a good move to represent a premium pair and make him lay down hes hand or is it just not worth it. I play super tight up to this stage in the tourney so my image could well hold up this move (or maybe the $10 donks wouldnt notice the difference:) or maybe im the $10 donk:p )

Anyway im not posting this and the other HH because of the bad beat, ive been running terrible in $20 stt's and either im having the worst variance or ive alot of improvment to make, so ive dropped back to $10 stts and im scrutinizing alot of my plays to see where im making mistakes that maybe obvious to ye but im missing

I don't mind the RR here and I think the 500 is ok. But you need to fold to the RRAI. only hand your beating here is AK and at that your only in a race...

Villain is an idiot.. No point reraising idiots OOP. Don't reraise here 90% of the time.

As played I fold to the push.

Seems an uncontested dont re-raise here. Just wondering your taughts on why, i presume because im inflating the pot OOP when im going to find it very hard to win the hand if we see a flop with an overcard.

In general though if i swap the hand around and say im the Villain ive AK or JJ-22 in the SB and i Raise to 150, then the BB Re-Raises me to 500, id be very wary of AA-KK here and id be thinking if i call and hit King High i still might be behind, if i call with JJ-22 and my Pocket pair makes an overpair on the flop i might still be behind. If i have the pocket pairs i might call for set value and im in position, so i call and im missing the flop most of the time, he bets 2/3 pot and i fold.

Is my investment here of 500 of my chips to win a 225 pot which i should take down alot of the time enough and the other scenario is im betting about another 700 on the flop if it gets to that, to bring my investment of 1200 of my chips to win a pot of around 1000 chips or so. Considering his set is 7.5/1 and if he has AK his hitting his pair 1/3 of the time would this not be +EV. Obviously if he has AA-KK hes most likely RR all in here and also we have to take into account ill hit my set once in 8.

As youve all said it looks like i shouldnt be 3 betting here but im explaining my thinking behind why i taught it was a good move (my donkey call to the all in was just stupid ignore that) so why do you think this isnt +EV here. Maybe this would only work with position or maybe this wouldnt work at all?

Also i think making a move like this i would obviously need to be deepstacked.
