    Hi,

I run a wireless network for around 5 laptops. One of them is losing internet connectivity after around 10 minutes of being connected to the network. No other computers are reporting problems.

The network doesn't drop but Its a weird problem because no websites work but Party Poker does!?

no router settings or settings on the laptop have been changed that could have resulted in this problem

    anybody have any ideas?

    thanks

Have you googled for the brand of pc to see if there are any reports of the problem or have you checked to see if theres any new firmware available for the wireless card in the laptop?

Have you downloaded any windows updates latey? (they do strange things sometimes as per the recent soundcard problems)

Do you have a strong enough signal?

Some household devices could be making the connection drop, such as microwaves, some cordless phones, wireless video senders, etc. Try unplugging these and see if your connection still drops.

A neighbour with wi-fi on the same channel [1-13] could have theirs set up on the same channel as yours. You could try changing this from your router's config interface.

Could it be a Party Poker trojan? I'd give the laptop in question a good run over with Ad-Aware , Spybot etc to and see what it throws up.
