Anyone know what this software update did (to 1.193) cos nothing seems to be different.

Yes noticed that too yesterday. Can see any change. It's the smaller box. Can't remember the model.

I have the small silver pace box
With this upgrade it now locks ( enter pin )
sky movies rated 12+/15+ between the hours of 5.30am and 8.00pm

I've got the medium-sized sliver box, and have noticed no software updates on it.

Yes it's the small pace, and yes Sky Movies are locked depending the rating and time of day.

Oh right. I thought it was probably something really small when it just changed from 1.192 to 1.193 (i can't remember the last one but I think it was something like 1.12x to 1.192

ooooh I like the new yellow button "First Channel" function they've introduced in the browse. No matter where you are on the channel listing I can now press the yellow button and get back to RTE1 instantly.
Was this not the automatically change to a particular programme in the past which was handy for recording programmes on different stations when away from the recorder or was that my imagination?
Is this to force people to subscribe to ntl+/chorus+/upc+ type box? Hold on, that hasn't happend yet although promised for the beginning of this month when they appeared on the Last Word a while ago.
Looks like the reduction in functionality of the standard digital box is going ahead even though the enhanced version has been delayed for some other humanly caused reason. Ooops UPC, you're overtaking yourself.

The yellow button function within the browse option has had the "1st channel" for ages and ages.

When you're just watching a channel the yellow button takes on a different function which swaps between the channel you're watching and the last channel you watched.(same as the "back" button on the old shark remotes)
