    Hey,

I am seriously thinking of importing a few upcoming ps3 games that wont be out here till september but will be in the USA in june/july according to play-asia.com.The games I am thinking of importing are:

    Lair - May 2007
    Heavenly Sword - June 2007
    Killzone 2 - July 2007
    Warhawk - June 2007

I was wondering would these dates be farly accurate? Also Warhawk is coming soon to Japan AFAIK does japanese games play in english aswell or is it full of Japenese? Does anyone else know what good games are coming out in US in next 2-3 months? And i have not dealt with play-asia before are they good and do you get charged on customs mst of the time? Thanks in advance for the help.

Play-asia won't ship the games to Europe, acording to their site anyway.

Heavenly Sword and Killzone have no launch date and Warhawk isn't out till september everywhere.

30 seconds on google would of told you this.

I think it depends on the game and whether it has been released in the EU or not. If you pick games that have already been released here they should ship it.

I tried it with Phoenix Wright and it works.

    http://www.videogamesplus.ca/

Excellent store.....no restriction on importing games and they'll even mark down packages

^ yep very good site, but dont add too much to your cart or shipping can get a bit pricy (add a controller and see).

www.dvdboxoffice.com are also very good, and regularly send out coupons to memebers. I got $10 off the other day, bringing Oblivion in for €44

I know myself and a good few other users on boards have been screwed over by dvdboxoffice in the past though.

    In what way?

Why can't games just have a universal release date?

Well for me I ordered a DVD box set off them which never arrived.

They said that it had been stopped and returned to them by customs... but customs told me they hadn't stopped any any packages addressed to me and they would have had no reason to stop this package either, and that they certainly wouldn't have gone through the effort of returning it.

They wouldn't even refund me the full amount and charged me a reshelving fee.

You wouldn't know what to believe - did u ask them to send it again?

I just wanted to cut my losses at that stage... they weren't being terribly helpful about the whole thing and I didn't feel like wasting money on phone calls to Canada to argue it with them.

Had trouble with DVDBO aswell, they've taken payments for things that are out of stock and made no contact.

The problem with so many people using differing sites is sooner or later someone has issues with them..

That goes for many places, personally I had an issue with a couple DVDs from Box Office a few year back........which took a few emails to sort out..
Movietyme dropped the ball about 6 months ago and I haven't dealt with them since after years of service..
The less said about the old DVD Soon the better
The current bugbear at the moment is Play.......revolting service from them lately. Lengthy delivery times, misplaced orders, no replies to mails etc etc..
Current fav at the moment is DVD WorldUSA and Play Asia.....they are consistently top drawer for a long time and would recommend them both. (haven't tried ordering any games from WorldUSA though)
VG+ have been quite decent as well in my dealings with them..

The problem is you can only really rate an online store when you have issues with them, if you know what I mean. What is their customer service like, delayed deliveries and processing ? etc..
I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have had no problems with Box Office and have no problem recommending them so the best thing to do use your experience, and try different places out..

I will say though, that I like to deal with places that only charge when something ships..........It can be harder to deal with places that charge you straight away when something goes wrong..

Wow never knew people had these problems with dvdboxoffice.

I've been using them since, well about 1999 when I started importing DVD's, and have never had any problems with them.

I think I had 1 item not arrive ages ago - and simply phoned them and they sent a replacement. 4 days later the original arrived.

The reason delivery times are longer with them - is they ship items to German HUB to be sorted, repackaged and then dispatched to you

This means you dont get caught with customs, but adds maybe a week to the delivery.

In most cases I've always had my items in 2 weeks of shipping.

Worst experiences I've had have been with CD WOW. They have been useless so far with my orders.

Agreed. CD WOW are bastards for doing this. AxelMusic and MovieTyme charged me before shipping as well which peeved me off.

    :D:D
Forgot about them..................remember waiting 2 months for a LFC DVD to show up after being charged (processing and delivery).......hopeless company..

    That date is wrong
It was a mistake that was made by a PS3 blogging site. Sony were quick to point out that there is no set date for the game but is due sometime in 2007.

My favourite site for importing is VG+ have been using them for a few years and they are always fast and i've never been hit by customs with them.
I've only used dvdboxoffice for 1 game(resistance) which i ordered on 8th jan this year and only recieved it last friday. it took at least 25 e-mails to get them to sort it and they werent very helpful, wont be using them again.
