ffs, Chinese want the nuke circuitboard for the algorithms it contains just so they will be able to get the upper hand on the Russians.

    International incident ahoy!

Wayne clears Jack to deal with the Chinese.

Lawl, Wayne is crocked again. Interesting few hours left with Noah as CiC.

Noah rescinds the order for Jack obviously.

Good ep I suppose. Down a notch from last week but solid overall.

"Mr President, you owe me!" - Jack Bauer.

    Damn right he does :D.
24 is cranking up a couple of notches in the last couple of episodes. Hopefully they'll keep it up.
Jack going rogue should be interesting and Bill should have known it will take more than a couple of teams to take Jack down - that soldier just got lucky with the rifle butt :p .

Worst episode so far imo but not terrible either. Jack takes on the Chinese on his own :D. Why is the threat of the recording of the Vice President not an issue all of a sudden.

Really not liking the Chinese angle tho.

Atm it seems really tacked on by the writers; like they finished the day too early and suddenly went 'oh ****, we need to fill 7 more hours!'.

Something big needs to happen soon to tie it all together. Not a bull**** storyline that the Chinese just want the Russian defence codes either.

I assume that it has to be tied in. I mean how else would they know so quickly (withint moments!) that the bombs were recovered.

Yeah, good solid episode again. Not sure about the chinese angle either tbh, but we'll see how it goes...

I just knew that the VP was at it with that blonde one.
Lennox still has the recording, why doesn't he use it to blackmail him into resigning?
Jack can now hear a telephone conversation out of earshot, or else his sensory powers told him something was up when Doyle was on the 'phone to Buchanan.
The nukes storyline finished up quicker than I thought, but I don't think this Audrey storyline is "tacked on" as some people think;the writers must have planned it all along though.
Why is it that FOX don't seem to mind portraying China as bad but when it's an Arab country they won't refer to it by name? I spose because there are less Chinese people living in the US than Arabs.
There's still six hours to go; I don't see how this storyline can last that long.
If Palmer croaks it the series will probably end with Jack being a fugitive from the US government as a result of his actions to free Audrey.
I've a feeling Daddy Bauer will make an appearance before the end of the day too.

Wondering if this is where Jack will die or what. Keifer wouldnt sign for any more series I think I seen somewhere. But was something about
having him replaced by someone, to be honest if keifer wasn't playin Jack, they'd prob be better to get a new agent in played by someone else, instead of someone else as jack. My opinion anyhow.

Impressions of Jacks plan is he gonna be a suicide bomb but the explosive was attached to the chip, thought he was gonna wear it at first so it was concealed  . The chip is being tracked however by ctu so hell know's how jacks gonna get away. Maybe Daniels will order a jet to take out jacks ride or sumfin

For some reason I had the feeling they might be lining up the new guy, Doyle to take over, but, that would just be

Doyle doesnt seem to have much of a screen presence to me. Hope theyre not lining him up as a Jack replacement!

Did anyone else find themselves thinking that Morris was slightly comical in this ep- his facial expressions etc? Love Morris as a character!

I reckon theyre trying to make us forget about the audio tape of Daniels and the blonde one for the time being. It might involved in the final couple of episodes as a big shocker/surprise moment when the vice pres gets taken down! (hopefully)

Also, Audrey's facial expressions were somewhat odd. (Makes me consider that a certain spoiler that weve heard about on these boards might be true! not sure if I can talk about it on this particular thread so I wont.) :D

Surely the Chinese will discover that easily enough? The whole plan will go arseways then.
It's possible that Jack may die, but I think he's signed up until 2009 so that would be two more seasons I think?
Th guy who plays Doyle is OK but he doesn't have the same screen presence as Sutherland. If Sutherland is to quit they would be better off finishing the series as well because viewing figures would drop dramatically.
The hardcore fans would still watch out of loyalty but nobody else would be arsed.

There has to be another inside man who let the Chinese know as soon as the Nukes were recovered. Could be some nomark but could also be someone higher up. I reckon Lennox is holding on to the recording for a more opportune time or so that he has some leverage if Daniels tries to get rid of him.

Very dissappointed. I hoped after the end of episode 17 that they wouldn't do the "Bad guys make Jack break the law" thing again but sure enough...

Its has that feeling about it alright.

This episode was a big let-down from last weeks excellent offereing, and the whole chinese angle with the codes for the Russian defensive weapons seems a bit laboured.

I think the collapse of president Palmer was easy to see coming, although he looked fine when he started the speech - even better than he had done an hour earlier.

Possibly the worst episode ever. I don't really give a crap about Audrey, and this storyline really does have a tacked-on feeling to it. Daniels being back in the Oval Office was so predictable, as was Wayne giving Jack the OK for his plan. There was nothing original about this episode at all, it was a huge disappointment from start to finish.

Good episode but it was down on notch on last week.

I agree with some of the above posters, the Chinese storyline seems a little tacked on. I only hope the writers can tie it together at end.

The whole Palmer collapsing was signposted, by the script, a mile off. The only bizzare thing was he appeared physically ill for the last few hours (sweats, the shakes etc). Once he got out of the bunker, he looked healthy again (no sweats or shakes). The he goes off and has stroke!

Line of the episode: Doyle to Bauer, "Jack you can't go against the White House"

Big Jack has made a career of going against the grain, Mason said something to that effect back in the heyday of Day 2. Of course Jack can go against the White House (or whoever he damn well likes), they even made a whole season all about it.

As for Daddy Bauer, I can only guess he is off jumping sharks with the Fonz somewhere..

Hmm, good episode. But I don't know what to expect. I've always said that without Jack, the show would die. The weak episodes this season have all been less Jack-centric, as I'm sure many of ye noticed. Hopefully things will work out, I love it when Jack is out for revenge. Oh, and Wayne better not die, he's one of the better characters this season!
