If a neighbour is unhappy about the shadow cast by an extension for which planning permission has been granted, can they do anything legally to cause problems?

If they objected at the time of planning then they can lodge an appeal,
but otherwise thet cant do much.

If they didnt lodge an appeal when they had the chance and if planning is already granted then its their tough $hit.

If you are concerned about it and it appears you are to some degree otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question then you need have no worries in my opinion providing you stick rigidly to the approved plans. 1 cm. out in the height or depth of the extension and you are inviting problems.

I concur with smasheys advice also.

    Thanks for the replies.
It's what I thought but I just wanted some confirmation.
Neighbour has been dishing out some legal spoof and has been harassing with several phone-calls. Long story but thanks anyway.

There is a right to light issue which is and can be seperate from the planning application. In legal swampland at the moment over it. My planning was granted and a neighbour objected on the right to light issue. Its been a year fighting it.
