OK Villain at this stage was around 75/3/1 or there abouts over only about 20 hands or so. I had only just sat down so was playing tight establishing my TAG image. I hadn't really done anything yet.

I'd just fold and move on.... he might have a jack thinking you have an ace and hoping you will pay him off because he is acting the eejit.

Quite likely he has a worse A tbh, but I don't know if a random punter has it enough to be profitable. I would usually err on the side of caution and fold as you don't have much invested in it, but it is hard to know if this is one of those "he'll never put me on a J if I push type hands".

OK, so you've seen about 15 pots he played, how did he play in those hands?

i'd call just to see wtf he has!

imo it's a 50/50 and you're priced in! - i'm turning into an awful calling station lately

I'd fold because I would hate myself for about 3 hours if he had a jack, but only for 5 mins if I fold, but can I ask why you didn't continuation bet, I'm still lern-ding when and when not to... trapping? worried about a jack? oop pot control?

    sorry to de-rail slightly...

I dont think he has a J however I fold and let him hang himself later in when I have a bigger hand.

Well I wasn't paying great attention to him, I was playing a few other tables, but he was a complete donkey, open limping into most pots, calling raises, I didn't have any real reads on him other than he was my second mark at the table.

It's just because one of us had very few outs and I'm out of position, I'm not looking to get all-in with my hand here (in the normal manner). If I bet I'll usually only get action from a J.

now i think he has A4 or KT or 66 or some sh*t like that and i'm definetly calling - if he has AK or Jx he is a complete muppet (which has me worried again due to his description!)

    poker = lol :)

EDIT: i'm going to bed in a min (sissy!) - tells us soon ste ty! - if you fold and don't see i'm gonna be v upset

sounds like this guy might give you action with any ace/any gutshot/any pair. He is more likely to have an A than a J. Normally checking these spots is OK but here I think you have a clear value bet.

Everytime ive looked up this type of bet from a donk recently it has been the equivalent of a jack in this hand, but i still find it hard to fold:)

    Yeah I call here.

My tendency is to fold to bets like these until I know what they mean to this particular player. IME, these sort of bets mean the nuts more often than a move from unknown players.

I don't know what site this is but I had a guy called highwayman2 buddy listed back when I played .05/.10 and .10/.20 on Tribeca.

This was on iPoker so it could be the same fella.

I called anyway and he had 108o. I just really couldn't see a guy who was pretty clueless about Poker doing something like this with a J here. Had I played with this guy some more, I actually would have snap called this bet, but at the time I agonised over the decision right up til I was getting beeped at, and decided that I was good here.

Although, as we all know, Unlimited Hold Them rewards bold aggressive plays and he was rightfully rewarded with one of the 3 combo's of perfect cards for his holding to take down the pot. NH WP

Running 10's, it actually took me a second to see why he was getting shipped the pot when I saw that he didn't have a J or AK...

Well I suppose it's my own fault for not using one of these new fangled pattern mappers I've read so much about :p
