Have just be watching New order for about the 5th time and just twigged something. When Fifth tells Carter that he had a very long time to think about it he is telling lies.

The time dialation field slowed the passage of time to almost nowt in relation to the passing of standard time untill the Asgard(Rip) turned Halla's sun into a black hole.

So very little time would have passed by untill Fifth encountered Carter for the second time.

So why is he telling lies.

We don't know what effect the Replicators using the time dilation device to escape the gravitational field of the black hole would have had on their relative time, so its perfectly possible that it would have had a quickening effect.

Now, quite why Teal'c and Carter didn't lose masses of relative time during their efforts to escape the black hole before Thor showed up is a riddle, especially after we had already seen the effects the black hole had on SG-10 and the SGC during "A Matter of Time".

Fifth was told about Carter's betrayal just a few seconds before the device went off. For an artificial lifeform like the replicators, that is nearly an eternity.

Also consider that when they managed to shut down the field, that they simply would have reversed it again like they did in the first place to get some work done. We already know they used it to escape the black hole.

In fairness, he is a replicator. I wouldn't trust him anyway.
