I couldnt reccomend a better show to watch, Its based on a team of FBI profilers hunting all sorts of murderers, kidnappers, it's basically CSI Pyschology!! Iv been watching the first series when it started on UK Living, its now on the second series on RTE after Tubridy on a Saturday. It also stars AJ Cook DROOOOLLLLLLL:D

Totally agree. The second series is on Living tv on Friday nights and repeated on Sunday night. The one on Friday was slightly disturbing. Three soccer mad girls were kidnapped in a small town. Brilliant show.

I do love me some 'Criminal Minds' - infinitely better than all that CSI garbage. The show can be extremely disturbing and gritty at times and is not afraid to show crimes in all their brutality (without the sugar coating of flashy camera effects and cut-aways).

With Mandy Patinkin and Matthew Gray-Gubler being the stars of the show.

The reading of quotes from poetry and literature can be a bit pretentious but a minor quibble.

I like to think of it as 'The Inside v2.0' - 'The Inside' being a short-lived but ever-so-disturbing crime drama which aired last year (and was cancelled by Fox after.. i think 8 episodes).

I love this show. Mandy Patinkin is great but then I've loved him since his "princess bride" days!
I was strangely disappointed with Friday's episode though.... i'm not sure why, probably because they didn't actually do any solving.. the guy just handed himself to them.

CSI Vegas I also love (not Miami)

A new agent has joined, she only had a few minutes on screen in the episode but I dislike her already. JJ needs more screen time!

I love this show. The soccer-mad girls thing was just creepy, that was on a few weeks ago on RTE...
Any idea if RTE are continuing it into the Autumn?

Its a consistently excellent show... better than the 3 CSIs put together.

There are thirteen episodes although I think Fox only showed 6. Very fine show.
Criminal Minds is extremely well-done although one or two have been weak this season(US), by comparison with its high standards, especially the latest one.

I agree on the show. I disagree on CSI. CSI Vegas has been particularly good in season 7 although NY has been somewhat sluggish. Also why compare shows that focus on very different areas?

Its a police procedural. Why split hairs?

    Mediocrity defined.

IMO different areas, but both watchable. CSI is more about physical evidence, unless you are H  ,whereas Criminal Minds is about the perpetrators.

:D Exactly. Not obvious to anyone what you mean by mediocrity. Three words is hardly an analysis.
    Fixed misspellings in my post.
