things to do in galway for the summer

hey all,plannin to spend y summer in galway instead of going away this year,just wonderin if any of ye out there have any good ideas for things ta do for a whole summer in galway in my spare time ie go kartin,paint ballin etc
and also,i no galway races are class and all but is there anythin else on this summer to look forward to?

Galway is great in the summer, I had one of the best summers ever there! Get a house near town and you are sorted. Rent seems to go down for the summer months too. Spent most of it down the spanish arch or on Salthill when I wasn't working. The weekends are great, pubs packed etc. Race week is brilliant fun, so many people about. If you fancy a change head out to clifden and connemara for a weekend heard thats meant to be good. You don't save much money but hey it's worth it. Happy days!
