    Hi,

Im selling a '99 .999cc 3 door polo with 48k on the clock. and wondering how much it's worth.

I paid 4600 1 year ago for it and thought it might be worth about €3500.

I looked on carzone and saw the same specs for €3950 and €3750.

It's nct'd and taxed until October. There is no alarm

    Thanks for any help

I have a 96 polo im trying to sell.I had it up on carzone for a while and had loads of calls but couldnt sell it then for some personal reasons and didnt have another car.Now i purchased a 2000 polo the newer model for 2700 (Now thats a bargain :) )last week and im trying to sell the 1996 polo.If you are in a hurry then sell it for a lower price if not then just put it on carzone for around 3500 and someone will buy it.they are in demand for people who want to start learning.
Does it have a full service history or not,and is timing belt changed as these things make a difference.
Anyway good luck with the sale

CBG has a pretty decent idea of what your car may be worth.

To be honest nobody will pay €4k for an 8 year old Polo. Carzone and cbg prices are mostly dealer "asking" prices which include overheads such as warranty, etc. They are generally over inflated and not the selling price of the car.

I reckon you should advertise it for €3,300, be prepared to let it go for anything down to €3k.

I sold a 99 5 door Polo recently just tested for 2 years with only 44k miles for 2700 euros and nobody was breaking the door down to get it. The fact that most Polo's don't have powersteering is a big disadvantage and the fact that VW's aren't all their cracked up to be anymore is a big draw back.
