    hiya

I was interested in hearing the Ray D'Arcy show from last week regarding the ESB, think it was on Tues and Wed. I can see it is on itunes but would prefer not to use this site. How can I listen to the show without having to download software from itunes?

You can use other applications other than iTunes to download and subscribe to podcasts go to this link and you'll see a vaiety of options http://www.podcastingnews.com/topics/Podcast_Software.html

It would appear that the aforementioned station, unlike us at Phantom 105.2, don't allow direct downloading of their podcasts. Many stations do this as 'direct downloads' don't count towards the iTunes charts.

I use Juice (formally Ipodder) to download podcasts.
    http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/

Click on the subscriptions tab, click on the blue + button, and paste in this URL.
    http://audio.todayfm.com/raydarcy.xml

    Voila.

thanks for that, but maybe I am missing something, I am after last weeks full programmes, have used juice (thanks DMC) but not a great index, have a list of five shows but only looks like snippets, are the full shows put up as podcasts and if so how can I get them?

I get ye now. What normally happens with podcasts is that they are only available for a short time, and there isn't normally an archive, and if there is a few podcasts listed to download, they are normally only there for a week or so.

Broadcasters, when they podcast, generally don't make available the full show to download. Nor do they have every interview. Podcasts generally are only the best bits, snippits, and not full programmes.

Which is a pity for yourself. :(
