    hey guys, i just got photoshop 7.0 off a friend and i want to know how to leave a watermark (signature), here is an example

    do you have to type it every time or can you just have it ready to place onto the picture?

    The software used on that site is the inbuilt gallery2 watermarking tool every picture you upload gets marked it's quite handy sometimes.

    Well, you could save it as an image on its own and copy it over, but its probably easier to just do it again each time. You could probably create an action to do it too.

    To save it, do the following:

    Create a new image at the size your images usually are. Using the text tool, type out the watermark as you want it to appear, on its own layer. Crop it to to the size of the text and save as a psd file. In future, open up that file and drag the text across to the image you want watermarked and position it as you need. For presentation, I'd suggest lowering the opacity of the watermark to about 60-70% so its a bit more subtle, and also would be much harder to remove. Export as a jpeg and you're good to go.

    I'll describe how to do it with a recorded action later if you want, I don't have Photoshop here so I can't check it.
