You're better off getting an internal PCI wirreless card as opposed to a USB dongle for the desktop PC

In my experience they tend to be more reliable

why get a wireless pci card?

all you'd need is a wireless router which you may already have depening on your broadband supplier

connect the pc through ethernet and the laptop wirelessly.
