Live 1/2 PL strategy adjustments

Ok, here's a fairly open-ended question....what are the biggest strategy adjustments to make when moving from playing online $0.5/1 NL to playing live €1/2 PL (in Dublin). I have played live tourneys before so not really asking about the transition to live play, nor about the bankroll adjustment, but more if/how the live cash games differ from the online ones in terms of looseness/aggressiveness/strategy etc. Any cash game experts out there?

Friday night, the jackpot, rock it up to the max and push the bejaysus out of any decent hand, simple.

As the others said, don't worry about image half the table will not notice if you have not played a hand since the late 1990s. Wait for the big hand then pot, pot and pot. Then sit back and wait for the next one to come along.

    Tips for live PLHE

    Pay attention to position.

    If in doubt ‘pot.’

Any pot you enter, consider what further streets may end up costing you.

Enjoy yourself, and don’t let anybody intimidate you.

If you are new to live cash, the sooted connecters are best left until late position.

Pay attention to other players bet sizes, on all streets.

Do keep saying ‘LOL’ and ‘ffs’ under your breath, and telling people ‘it’s all luck anyway,’ but don’t minraise.

Try and assign players to a probable hand during each pot, and a calling/raising range during each session.

    Don’t show your cards.

If there are plenty of pre-flop raises, don’t be afraid to lip the big pairs in EP, hoping for a re-raise to thin the field to HU, in a big pot.

Use the fact that other players do not know you to your advantage.

Don’t call other peoples raises without the goods – this will just bleed your stack, fold or raise.

Do not call another players all in bet without a very good reason (i.e. knowing you’re ahead.)

Don’t be afraid to make a call, where the pot is offering good odds, knowing sometimes you will be behind.

Do not slowplay or limp big pairs.

Do not give cheap or free cards without a lock-hand.

Do not buy in short. Ideally you want to be buying in for at least 100BB.

Do not overplay AK or AQ from early position.

Do not fall in love with Ace rag.
