    Hi All,

Just wondering what recommendations people would have for a good grippng hard compound tyre. I was previously going to get toyo tr1s, but being a soft compound i decided against it. I do around 700Kms a week, from easy and hard driving, motorway and typical back of nowhere roads. I need something that wont easily go flat or burst. My current tyres are ridiculously hard compound. Theyve taken a severe punishing over the past few months (only 6 months old). The only this is, they have very little grip if the ground is anyway damp.

    Size wise: 225/45/17

I had Goodyear Eagle Venturas a couple of years ago. The longest lasting tyres I've ever had, and very good grip in the wet.
