Adapting to table image

I'm at about the 10th hand in a MTT, and i get AQ sooted. I raise it to 160 (blinds 20/40), get 2 callers and flop comes 10 J 2 rainbow. I bet out about 3/4 pot and both fold.

Next hand, i get AJo and raise it to 120 this time. 1 caller, and flop comes 2c 5c 4h. I pot it and caller min-raises. I dwell for a while and reckon it's not worth it so, i fold.an

Very next hand, i get AQ suited again in the BB and just check my option (to try and mix up my play). 2 callers, flop comes 5s Js Qc, I pot it both call. Turn brings 4c and i pot it again and both fold.

Now, having not played a hand for the first orbit, it looks like I'm a bit of a LAG. I've since only played 3 hands in 3 orbits and been re-raised all in each time.

My question: I'm normally TAG, especially early on in an MTT. Now that my image is almost exactly the opposite, should i be playing up to that? .......i.e. should i now become a lot looser, or sould i stay with my original game plan?

Are there any dis/advantages to either approach?

At a very basic level, If you have a LAG image just play TAG and if you have a TAG image play looser, if viewed as loose, tighten up and don't bluff too often. And vice versa.

If the table thinks your uber-Lag, but its only been a run of cards. Then play tighter than normal for a bit, if you make a move, they are more likely not to believe it, you need a hand to back this up.
Changing your play so that you fit the image they have of you is a bad idea. You will get caught out more often, keep switching gears
