Is it possible to change the backround colour on flickr, or have different backrounds for different links etc??
The white is gone a little pansy for me.:(

    Graci.

Nope. I do gather they're slowly working on letting people personalise their pages to a greater extent. That said, I don't want it turning into MyFlickr. :[

Is it kept plain ,so that it's as fast running as possible ?
Even a grey backround would do me ,the white gets a little much at times:(

Yeah! I hate the white too. Hopefully they will change it or allow users to change it. It shouldn't effect the speed whatever colour it is.

I actually like it a lot, just like the gallery walls I'm used to!

You can change it to black with Firefox and Greesemonkey scripts - just for yourself though....

I stopped using firefox a while ago ,thought ie7 looked better.
Is it easy for a non techie like me to change things ,in firefox ?

EDIT : Forget about that post ,firefox is very slow with flickr ,I won't be using firefox :(

I thought that too, about firefox with flickr being very slow. But I was regarded with "pff" responses when I talked about it to geeky colleagues, so I shut up and quietly continued using IE7 ;)

Hopefully flickr will give us an option sooner or later to change the colour. In the meantime the next best thing would be your own site using the flickr api. But that's too much like hard work for me...

There's a yoke you can install on your website called lumisgallery that makes your flickr stuff look like this, but for whatever reason it's really slow on my website.

I very much like the dark gray background though.

I think if flickr allowed us a range of grays, that'd be nice but I think bright orange or purple bgnds would be a bit nauseous, and sure as eggs is eggs people'd use them.

Flickr seems to load in chunks with firefox ,not nearly as smooth as Ie7.
I don't dislike flickr ,it's just a little tiring when the screen is so bright half the time. Flickr is definetly the real world ,when it comes to photography.

I second that feeling. Could just destroy the whole thing
