To 'All Things Retro' you go!

What a cheesy schmaltzy entertaining mess of an ad that was!

Imagine that ad nowadays: "Bottle of water? That'll be €3!"

ah the good old days, where you weren't treated like a terrorist and weren't packed into a bus like plane like cattle
i used to have a tape of aerlingus in flight music, sounded very like this, wonder if it still around
*goes off to look through old cassettes*
    nice ad

Jaysus, that's a blast from the past alright! :D Sure brought back some memories.

Hate to think what a modern day remake of that ad would be like! Instead of the glamourous images of Aer Lingus being a top-class airline, with smiling, considerate cabin crew, nice, clean, roomy aircraft and carrying Japanese buisnessmen around the world, you'd probably have images of fat, sweaty, tracksuited scangers being herded into the planes like cattle off on their two weeks holiday to Lanzarote or something!

Or would that be more like a Ryanair ad, perhaps? ;):D
