    Hey all,

I'm starting a project guitar and i'm not sure about the final pieces ie the tuners.

I'm looking for any info on a decent set of tuners for a strat type head from anyone who has had the experience of fitting/buying them

I'm Putting a Roland GK Synth system onto an Donor strat body, Pickups are Fender Vintage and the trem is a wilkinson. I was going to invest in The american series VG strat but i've been talked into modding this guitar as it will cost less than half the cost of the VG and will sound as good if not better.

Looking for a maple strat neck too if anyone is tryin to shift one.

*also looking for any info for a flight case for a 2x12 hot rod deville

    All info welcome,
    Ken

I bought a set of Gotoh Schaller style from here for about €30 all in for a strat project I finished a couple of weeks ago. Very nice, smooth and stay in tune. They are the correct dimensions for your average strat headstock (some are too wide and require routing, some are too narrow and don't fit snugly). Measure the width of the holes in the headstock and make your choice with that in mind.

    I got the TK 7760-010 - $30 - can't go wrong.

Sperzels are damn fine tuners alright. Locking ones are even better. son.of.jimi, are you looking for 6 in a line tuners?

Has anyone looked into the alternatives for midi tracking on a guitar? Personally found the roland tracking to be a bit suspect , more than likely I'm just using the wrong settings:p but would be interested in hearing about anyone that had tried the rmc pickups or the ghost setup. A quick google was showing rmc as hard to track down on its own and the ghost pickups to be fairly expensive.
