    Hi,

Posting this for a mate. This is a 2/4 hand (on ladbrokes) from last night. Call every time?

Hero has about $600, Villain about same. Villain is a decent tight player. Hero is tight-aggressive.

Dealt to Hero (UTG+1): Ad Qh

UTG Folds, Hero raises to $16, MP Folds, Villain calls on Button, Blinds fold.

    Flop: 3h 6c Th

Hero bets 40, Villain calls (pot now $118)

    Turn: Jh

Hero bets 80, Villain calls (pot now $278)

    River: Ah

Hero bets 100, Villain raises all-in (say he covers for arguments sake)

Costs Hero about 360 to call. Call? Also dissection of other streets welcome.

    fold,

do you expect anybody to bet the 9h so heavily?

The only hand we beat that might have played this way up to the river is 89h .
Surley 89h just calls the river bet tho.

    odd.

i probably check call here.cant see villian paying off with the 9h(and its very unlikely he has it anyway).

its very likely you have the best hand, but very unlikely villian calls with worse, and betting here puts you in an awful spot if you get raised.

Bet fold is probably better than check call, but both are much better than bet call. I think you see the nuts here pretty much all the time.

he's never betting 9h on the river, but he'll probably call so I think bet/folding is better than c/c.

I'd fold now and expect him to have the nuts here.

What hands are we losing to that makes sense for him to have. KK is the only one. what else he could have, i dont know cos we dont have much info on him.

I guess he could be floating with KhQx on the flop

Its a king or air. From description of the villian, it smacks of king

i know c/c is kinda nitty but does a decent tag really pay off with the 9h?

I think if checked to he may well bet the 9h, i think you probably should bet it if checked to.

Also, the guy called a raise on the button with 150bbs. I really doubt he has KK, but he could well have almost any other hand, suited connectors, pairs etc, Kx suited etc

He is a tight player, i dont think he is a calling a 4x raise from utg+1,another tight player, with Kxs, i would think he plays KK like this much more than Kxs, obv preflop he can have pairs and SCs but when we get to the river, as you say we are nearly always looking at the nuts. I just think KK, maybe a floating KhQx will pop up more than Kxs.

fwiw,if im gonna bet/fold id probably bet around $160-$180.i think its way less likely he'll bluff then rather than when you bet $100.
