I'm thinking of fitting a touchscreen monitor to my Golf Mk IV. Apart from fitting the thing to the dash, how does one go about wiring it? Can I wire it to the same ignition power as the radio/cd or would this be too much of a load? I don't want to short anything.... Any advice would be great. Thanks.

yeah you can wire it into the radios ignition feed or even the feed coming of the cigz lighter.
most do it from the radio, cause you will also be wiring in the speakers to the existing loom.
