Looks good too, I'll be downloading this tonight - was wondering what the message on my Wii was this morning but didn't have time to check it :)

yeah woke up only a few minutes to find that wonderfull blue light glowing. downloaded it and am using it now. seems better. zoom feature has gone crazy... in a good way. your able to delete your cookies.

im sure this will be answered in time but in the message it said that the browser will be free until the end of june. i remember a while back there was thoughts about this and it was said if you download while its free it will always be free. because if i have to pay for its use ill have to get off my lazy ass and go down stairs to my computer to check my email!

If you download it now you will not have to pay for it after June.

I am nearly certain that you will have to pay for it in june even if you download it before then.

The final version of the Internet Channel is available for free download from 12th April 2007 until 30th June 2007, after which it will cost 500 Wii Points. Once downloaded, the Internet Channel is free for the lifetime of the system.
Down the end of this article.

Anyone else have regular problems connecting to the 'net with the Wii?

I got my message from Nintendo this morning, no problem, but when I tried to run the system update I got a lot of "failed to connect - check you settings". Finally got it working just be retrying a few times (my settings are perfectly fine), now I'm "connecting" to the Wii Shop for the past ten minutes or so.. all controls locked down, if I want to cancel I'm going to have to reset the machine.

Don't think I've ever had a smooth hassle-free connection with this thing. Very annoying.

    Hows your wireless signal strength?

Sometimes they just crap out. The DS had some problems with going online and preferred certain routers so maybe search for your router and Wii to see if anyone has had similar problems and solved them.

Failing that if you know it is the Wii wireless card causing the problem then you can get a network adapter for the Wii that would solve your problems.

Just downloaded it there, im well impressed, as people have said the zoom is fantastic now and the option to hide the menu bar is great too, pity there isnt a firefox like tab option but ive read theres a site that does that, wiiminder.com I think?

Using it right now, it's a lot smoother/more solid than the trial alright and the zoom is excellent. D-pad scrolling also works a lot better, a-la the news channel and the favourites do load nice and quick too. I'm pretty happy with it.

Using it now and have to hand it to Opera, they listened to the complaints people had and went off and actually went off and did something about it! Much improved!!! :D

Has anyone tried using that site that lets you use multiple tabs?

From what i've read its quiet a improvment and ironically I just got the trial version 3 days ago but that was because my brother took it up with him to college and got it updated but now its back in non broadband land

Its very good. My only complaint is the lack of tabbed browsing but I can live with just going to wiiminder.
