Selling on Ebay, how to package/price goods

I'd like to sell off some stuff on Ebay like my old iBook laptop which is complete in its original box but I don't know where to get a box to fit it into. Can anyone help here?

I've been to Easons but they only do certain sizes of boxes and nothing as big as this. Where can I get some to fit?

Also, when trying to price an item for registered delivery, would it be ok to just use prices on the anpost website and estimate delivery cost based on the weight?

Put a lot of work and thought into packing a fragile item. You can't have too much packing if it will keep it from damage. Lots of bubblewrap and those funny work shaped squiggly foam things (technical terms, obviously).

Use the An Post prices as a guide and round them up slightly to cover small variations.

Try Viking Direct if you are thinking of selling more than one item, you can buy stuff there in bulk which might be cheaper in the long run.

Call to any local store that take delivery of orders in large boxes. And ask for a few before they crush them. ....Free.:)

And use an post guides or website but definitely add a small amount to cover yourself. And if your item is over 2kg bear in mind the cost skyrockets as its sent by parcel post.
