hi all,my sister is having trouble with her pc.when the pc is powered on the screen says please select which mode to start in safe, normal, windows with command prompt and windows with network drives (i think) if normal start up is selected or safe mode it tries to load then it just goes back to the first screen start again,it loads with the command prompt no problem but i have no idea as to what to do there so she is thinking of bringing it into pc world tomorrow to get it looked at so i said i'd post the problem here to see could any advice be offered.with regards to how this problem arose in the first place i'm not sure, the sister is blaming her husband but he reckons it was herself who was messing around with it,it's windows xp home by the way, thanks

XP is more than likely corrupt. It prob saying Load last known configuration or something? Could be faulty driver or file.
    Does safe mode load?

ya it says that "load last good configuration" it doesn't load in safe mode just enters sleep mode and then back to the start screen

You will prob have to repair the windows installation. More than likely an error message appears for fraction of second but you don't get a chance to see it.

Nothing much you can do really only reinstall windows but i don't know what your level of expertise is.
