    Hi there,

I need to find opinions/info for a presentation we're giving in college. I've ran the following by Buffybot and I have his okay to post it :)

We're discussing expanding flights from the west/southwest of Ireland to one of the following five destinations.

Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.

All I want to ask people is

    * which of these cities have they visited?
    ** what attracted them there?
    *** would they go back?
****which airport would suit people most: Kerry or Galway?

Just very quick answers will do, if people have the time, we'd really appreciate it! ;) cheers mica

Been to Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.

Marseille is horrible. Would never go back. Full of weird people. Ended up there because we thought it would be nice, but no.

Nice is "nice", and if offered, would go back there, preferably from Galway. Same for Toulouse. (even though the infrastructure to/from Galway Airport is an absolute joke, no bus service, extortionate parking prices, and a taxi into town is 20 bucks...)

    Hope this helps ;-)

Cities visited: From the list - Lyon and Nice

Attracted me to Nice - See my sig! Beautiful place and a great base from which to visit just about anywhere else on the Med. As for Lyon, the less said the better.

Will return to Nice a lot. Unlikely to revisit Lyon, except if passing through.

    Hope that helps.

    Been to Lyon and Bordeaux.

Was in Bordeaux as a kid with the parents, nice place, would like to go back.

Was in Lyon 4 times, twice for an exchange, once on a camping trip and once on the way to a ski resort. I like it but that's cuz I spent 6 weeks there. Will probably go back.

Neither of those airports are convenient. If I had to chose one though it would be Galway - shorter trip from Dublin.

Thats great guys, keep them coming! That's some villa Mikedragon32!!!

I know the choice of airports wouldn't suit people from Dublin, but we're thinking of people who might go home at the weekend or who have to travel to Dublin to travel. The airline we're basing our presentation on operates from these regions already.

I'll be grateful for any replies as I'm not sure I'm going to hear back from the busy organisations I emailed. :p

FWIW, if the airline you are basing the presntation on is a low-fare type airline, don't forget the possible option for the Cote d'Azur of using the National terminal in Nice-Cote d'Azur airport rather than the budget terminal in Marseille. Easyjet use the Nice option, which imho is the better option as it's better placed on the coast for the Riviera and the Alps.
