Just wondering is it possible to branch a single USB cable, eg. splitting a cable instead of having a standart A to B, having an A to 2 Bs, wiring on an extra connector, to allow connection of more than one device to a single port, or do I need a Hub?

You can get a 2into1 hub, but i dont think its physicially possible to rewire a usb cable to what you want. Are you trying to get a printer or webcam to work with two pcs ?

As if its a printer/scanner you can share it over the network, i dont think its possible for a webcam or other device.

or is this what you are looking for? or the other way round?:

That's exactly what I'm looking for, It's for an Xbox Original, just I have a couple of female USBs lying around and a controller cable and I just wanted to attach both of them to the cable and do it on the cheap!
