    hi.
I just downloaded 20mbs of updates for my avg antivirus.
how can i backup/save these updates on a cd in case I need to uninstall/re-install avg in future.

basically are these updates stored as a discrete file anywhere on the pc so i can just copy them to a cd.
    thanks.

If you download the latest version of AVG from the website you shouldn't have to download 20Mb of updates, just one or two small updates.

AVG site also allows you to manually download the update files so I guess you could download them and burn them to disk. But unless you do this weekly it will always be out of date. Easiest way is just download latest from the website.
