Getting cat damage repaired?

My bloody cat knocked my MBP off my desk last night and broke the clasp to keep the lid closed. I still have another three months warranty on it, and I will probably be back in Las Vegas within that time, but I'm near-certain it won't cover accidental damage.

    'elp?

    House insurance??

almost exactly the same thing happened a mate of mine, ibook was knocked off a table and clasp thingy broke, house insurance covered the entire machine. the ibook turned into an MBP. I didnt believe it until I saw it myself!

Although, most likely renting I guess??

my sympathies, but hey could always be worse

I don't think damage by pets is covered by insurance.
But if a guest in the house had knocked it.....................

i just got mine repaired under my house insurance. I have accidental cover on my policy so when i knocked it off the sofa and smashed the screen everything was taken care of.

It's safer and cheaper in the long run to shoot the cat.
