    Hi,

I am new to photography and was hopeing I could get some feedback/advice on a couple of my pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Photo 1 was taken on a beach in south west Ireland.

Photo 2 was taken on Jan 26 on the Sunshine Coast (Australia)

Photo 3 was taken near Croagh Patrick.

    Cheers,

    Daniel.

    Welcome to boards! :)

I like the first shot most (although I'd like it more if it was rotated!). Good composition and a good exposure. The second one is also nice but I'm not sure what exactly you were trying to capture. I'm searching for a subject but I'm not sure if it's the water or the rocks which are the main subject. It seems a little more balanced with the lower rock cropped out, but it depends what you are after.

I'm really liking the first shot though, great stuff!

Welcome to the forum. The first one as mentioned is lovely, very nicely captured.

the first one is good (rotate left !) and the colours create a nice warm atmosphere

the 2nd one is a good example of depth of field but I think that the sheer volume of the bottom rocks is distracting.

the 3rd one is also nice but there is a LOT of water shown

Wow thanks for your advice. As a beginner its hard to narrow down exactly whats wrong with a shot. Now you point it out, Photo 2 definitely needs to lose the rock at the bottom.

    Thanks again for your help!!

Well, I like them. A lot. However the scissorts for the second one would be nice :-) Just above the first stone.
And about the last one, I like the amount of so much water! Don't listen to them! :-)

Love the first, the other two seem a little meh.

I quite like all 3 although they may not be perfect. I think you have a good eye and can see what you want to shoot. To me i see 3 good shots with the potential to improve into much better shots with everything that has been said about them already. With a little more experience you'll soon narrow down how you want to compose and structure your shots more. I'd be very happy with those 3 shots if they were mine when I first got an interest in photography.
I think you handled the exposure quite well in them all.
    Keep shooting!

    Pete.

I'm a sucker for silhouettes and sunsets so I'm biased but I think for a beginner those are terrific! The suggestions above are good too.

    Welcome to Boards btw!
