    Bomb scare closes Heuston station
    Clodagh Mulvey

A bomb scare has brought Heuston train station in Dublin to a standstill this afternoon.

An anonymous call to Sligo town garda station at 11.30am this morning warned there would be a bomb aboard a Sligo-Dublin train in Heuston station at 3pm this afternoon, the Garda press office confirmed.

However, the Garda said no device has been found and Heuston station will remain cordoned off until further checks are carried out.

It is not yet known who is responsible for the alert.

How did the Sligo train get to Heuston?:p

Very certain it was the 12:35 Limerick Dublin since word came through via a passenger who witnessed the goings on, this tallied with a report of armed gardai in Heuston waiting for something

It's not too far out to suggest that perhaps it's a new service that's been delayed - inevitably. Could also explain why no bomb actually went off in Heuston.

If it was ment to be on the sligo-dublin train, did the guards cordon off connolly station just in case?
