Too Many Programs

    Hi all

I have quite a bit of software installed on my pc - so much so that when I go Start - All Programs - .. There are too many files (ie) I am halfway down the 4th column and I cant see whats on the list unless I hover over them. Is there a way to tidy this up or make the icons smaller? I tried doing this on my explorer/program files and grouping them together in folders. This didnt do anything but mess about a lot of files that were associated with each other meaning a lot of programs had to be reinstalled

    Cheers

you need to group the shortcuts together, not the program files!!!

right click on Start, and click explore...this will open explorer in the current profile, on the "start Menu" folder. Under this is the Programs folder. Group the applications in here. Also in the "All Users" profile do the same....

Cheers I'll give it a shot - However just on first look there appears to be a lot less programs in here (using explorer) than appear when I go Start - All

most of them will be under the "All Users" profile...they are on mine anyway

Yeah, what he said. I'd suggest moving everything to the All Users start menu - it'll make it easier to organise. Unless there's some programs you don't want anyone else to see of course.
